Alena K. Brookshire is a native of Orlando, Florida. She graduated from the University of Florida in 1990 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Ms. Brookshire has extensive clinical nursing experience in pediatric critical care. She previously practiced at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, formerly known as Egleston Children's Hospital, as a staff nurse and charge nurse in the intensive care unit. She also has experience in ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) for pediatric and neonatal patients. Prior to joining the firm in 1998 as a Legal Nurse Consultant, Ms. Brookshire also worked as a Case Manager for a large healthcare insurance company.
