H. Carson McKowen, MD, JD

Carson McKowen retired in 2022 after 12 years with the firm, specializing in medical malpractice law. He was one of the three founding members, along with David Ardoin and Matthew Ory, to established Ardoin, McKowen & Ory, LLC in 2010, before changing its name to AMO Trial Lawyers, LLC in 2019. Dr. McKowen grew up in Baton Rouge, where he attended Tara High School. Before becoming an attorney, he practiced Neurological Surgery in Thibodaux and Houma, Louisiana. Although retired from both the practice of law and medicine, Dr. McKowen is always available to the firm for informal advice on medical issues.
